Atlas fou un tità, segons Hesíode havia de portar el cel i la terra damunt les espatlles. És descrit com el líder dels titans en la seva confrontació amb Zeus. Més endavant, se’l va considerar un home convertit en muntanya.

Aquesta cançó recent de la polèmica cantant pop Lady Gaga, recull influències de música house i electrònica per aquesta cançó plena de referents clàssics.

En aquesta enganxosa melodia de temàtica afrodisíaca, Gaga parla de Venus com a deessa (“Goddess of love/Aprodite lady seashell bikini”) i com a planeta(“Take me to your planet/Worship to the land/A girl from the planet/”una recitació dels planetes del sistema solar al final de la cançó) per tal de relacionar aquesta deessa amb el sexe i l’amor que sent per alguna persona. Tot i que la lletra pot semblar molt aleatòria i sense sentit, cada línea individualment té significat.

Venus iacta est és l’àlias de la Mar Márquez, en el seu projecte musical solitari. És una cantant catalana, i mescla el pop amb música folklòrica.

El videoclip de Barca nova per a Odisseu,  està creat a partir d’imatges de principis i mitjans del segle XX. A les imatges s’hi poden veure diferents maneres de vida d’aquella època:  manifestacions en contra de la guerra i del racisme als Estats Units,  el primer pilot que aconseguí creuar l’oceà Atlàntic sense fer escales, militars, multitud de gent divertint-se al parc d’atraccions, mestresses de casa…

És curiós com un grup tan conegut com Metallica pot introduir tòpics literaris en les seves cançons, aquí us en deixo un exemple ara que estudiem Horaci a classe de llatí.

Χαιρετε!

Aquí us deixo una cançó molt divertida, encara que una mica verda, que he trobat del grup Les Luthiers, un grup argentí d’humor molt famós en els països hispanoparlants. Aquesta cançó titulada Dilema de amor (cumbia epistemológica), ens parla sobre un home i una dona que es troben en una festa i comencen a ballar i parlar. Aquesta parella parlen sobre filosofia, i un dels temes que més ressalten és l’epistemologia o la antropologia de Plató, entre altres temes i filòsofs que apareixen.

Al Stewart és un cantant, compositor i músic del folk-rock escocés.  Aquesta canço pertany al cicle troià i crec que podríem establir un paral·lelisme amb el gènere grec de l’èpica. Què n’opineu.
