ALEXANDER RYBAK

Va néixer a l’antiga República Socialista Soviètica de Bielorússia el 13/05/86. Quan tenia quatre anys, ell i els seus pares -una famosa pianista i un conegut violinista- es van traslladar cap a Noruega, on va créixer. Alexander Rybak ha tocat diversos instruments des dels cinc anys, i ara toca principalment el violí i el piano. Va ser guardonat amb el prestigiós premi Anders Jahres Culture Prize el 2004. Va entrar a la versió noruega de Pop Idol (un programa similar a Operación Triunfo) i va arribar a la semifinal. El 2006 va guanyar la competició de talents Kjempesjansen de la ràdio i televisió pública de Noruega amb la cançó Foolin escrfita per ell. El que realment el catapultar a la fama a aquest artista, va ser la participació a Eurovisió el 2009.

Fairtale

Cançó inspirada per la música folk russa i noruega. Rybak va representar a Noruega al Festival d’Eurovisió 2009 a Moscou, Rússia, amb aquest tema cantat en anglès i va guanyar el concurs amb 387 punts, una puntuació mai aconseguida per cap país. L’actuació la va fer al costat d’un grup de ballarins de la companyia de folk modern Frikar. Cançó proposada per en Jordi F. de 5è. Dedicada especialment a la classe de 5è de Noruega. Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll                                                                            Nascuda a Barranquilla, Colòmbia, el  2 de febrer de 1977. És una cantant i compositora de música pop-rock en castellà i anglès. En àrab Shakira significa “dona plena de gràcia”, i per als hindús significa “deessa de la llum”. És una de les dones més ben pagades del món de la música i de l’espectacle en general. Filla de Lidya del Carmen Ripoll Torrado, d’ascendència catalana, i William Mebarak Chadid, d’origen libanès.   Entre les seves cançons més populars hi ha Estoy Aquí, Ciega, Sordomuda, Ojos así, Whenever, Wherever, Underneath Your Clothes, La Tortura i Hips Don’t Lie (amb la col·laboració del raper i productor Wyclef Jean). Shakira va crear una ONG anomenada Fundación Pies Descalzos amb el propòsit de trobar oportunitats pels infants vulnerables i despaçats de Colòmbia.

Waka waka / This time for Africa                                                                                Interpretada amb el grup sudafricà Freshyground, escollida  com la cançó oficial de la Copa Mundial de futbol de 2010. La cançó ha estat nº 1 en 32 països. Tot un rècord!  Els beneficis que ha generat aquesta cançó han anat a parar a una campanya  benèfica. Musicalment combina ritmes i instruments afro-colombians amb la soca (música   de Trinidad i Tobago derivada del calipso) i guitarres sudafricanes. En quant a la lletra, la tornada es basa en un cant del Camerún anomenat Zangalewa del grup Golden Sounds que ja havien adaptat d’un cant  dels scouts Africans. En els anys 80 el grup Las chicas del Can de la República Dominicana també van versionar aquesta melodia.  Dedicada especialment a tot el Parvulari-Àfrica. Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen (Long Branch, Nova Jersey, 23 de setembre de 1949), anomenat The Boss (en espanyol: “el cap”), és un cantant, compositor i guitarrista nord-americà àmpliament conegut per la seva música rock vinculada a lletres poètiques i a sentiments tradicionals americans i relacionats particularment amb el seu Estat d’origen, Nova Jersey.

Els enregistraments de Springsteen han tendit a alternar, al llarg de tres dècades, entre el rock i altres treballs orientats cap al folk, així com l’anomenat Heartland rock. Kate Ryan és una de les cantants més destacades de la música dance europea. Va néixer el 22 de juliol de l’any 1980, a Tessenderlo, Bèlgica. Va començar en la indústria de la música amb una banda musical anomenada Melt. Després d’estar dos anys en aquesta banda va decidir fer una carrera musical en solitari.

2002: Different
Va fer una versió de la cançó de Mylène Farmer “Desenchantée”. Aquest va ser el seu primer gran èxit amb números 1 i top tens per mitja Europa.

2004: Stronger
El seu segon àlbum surt al 2004 aprofitant els èxits que va tenir el seu primer treball en solitari. En aquest segon àlbum es manté un marcat caràcter dance.

2008: Free
Durant el mes de maig del 2008 surt el senzill Ella Elle l’a, versió de l’èxit dels anys 80 de la també cançó eurovisiva France Gall.

Banda Sueca formada el 2004 Lars Lindquist: veu i percussió, Silvio Arismendi: percussió i bateria, John Dunsö: guitarra acústica, veu i piano, Alex Thompson: guitarra rítmica, Fia Janninge: percussió, violí i veu, Maria Carlsson: baix, Lisa Haglind: trompeta, acordió i sintenitzador i Gustav Kronkvist: guitarra elèctrica.
Lars Lindquists va haver d’abandonar el seu somni de se jugador professional de futbol quan la seva carrera estava a punt de brillar. Des de llavors va decidir centrar les seves energies en el seu altre somni: la música. Creà el grup Billie The Vision… i un segell discogràfic propi. No són un grup d’una sola cançó, en porten editades 45 en 4 discs.

Summer Cat

Es tracta de la cançó més escoltada l’estiu de 2009. Popularitzada al nostre país arran d’un anunci d’una coneguda marca de cerveses. Summer Cat és una expressió sueca que prové de la gent que se’n va de vacances i compra un gat només per a l’estiu. Quan tornen a la ciutat l’abandonen. La cançó, per tant, no té res a veure amb l’estiu, el Carpe diem i la diversió tal i com mostra l’anunci. Realment és molt trista ja que descriu el dolor de perdre a la persona que estimes.

Rick Astley
El seu nom real és Richard Paul Astey i va néixer el 6 de febrer de 1966 al Regne Unit. Va començar la seva carrera el 1985 tocant la bateria en un grup de soul anomenat FBI. Quan començà a cantar ho va fer amb una veu profunda de baríton. Durant força temps la gent pensava que Rick era un actor fent play-back, imitant un cantant de raça negra. Als 21 anys va publicar els seus primers senzills i el seu primer disc va tenir un éxit sense precedents. Rick va esdevenir una de les estrelles del pop juvenil dels anys 80. En total ha editat 6 àlbums d’estudi i diversos recopilatoris. El seu estil ha anat evolucionant cada disc és més personal, composa la seva música i les seves cançons són menys ballables i més soul. Les últimes noticies són de l’any 2005, quan Rick publicà Portrait, un àlbum de versions dels seus clàssics preferits del soul.

Cançó que pertany al seu àlbum estrella, titulat Whenever You Need Somebody. El primer de la seva carrera editat l’any 1987. El disc incloïa “Never Gonna Give You Up” i diverses altres peces composades pels productors Stock, Aitken i Waterman i pel mateix Rick Astley— també va arribar al número 1 de les llistes britàniques i, a l’any següent, a les llistes americanes. Aquesta setmana ha proposat aquest hit dels anys 80 en Xavier B. de 5è, que coneix aquesta cançó gràcies a la ràdio. Un tema fantàstic!
