Bob Marley
Robert Nesta Marley va néixer el 6 de febrer de 1945 a St. Anns (Jamaica).
Va ser cantant, guitarra i compositor, principal figura i difusor de la música reggae.
El reggae és una barreja de ritmes tradicionals jamaicans, rock, rythm and blues i soul.
L’any 1960 amb només quinze anys ja va formar un grup de música vocal.
Gran part de la seva carrera artística la va fer acompanyada del grup Wailers.
Bob es va esforçar per eliminar la violència entre les persones de diferents classes.
A part d’un gran músic, es va convertir en un líder social a nivell mundial i això li va portar molts problemes. Fins i tot, el van intentar assassinar d’un tret durant un concert.
L’any 1978 va rebre la medalla de la Pau a les Nacions Unides
Va morir a Miami (Estats Units) el 1981 amb només 36 anys, Va ser enterrat a Jamaica amb els màxims honors i ha passat a ser un dels mites de la música del segle XX.
