The Killers

És una banda de rock indie  originària de Las Vegas, Estats Units. El seu estil pertany al  revival  post punk i combina sons de la dècada dels 80, 90 i música contemporània.       The Killers es va formar al 2002 . Els membres de la banda són: Bandon Flowers (cantant i teclat), David Brent “Dave” Keuning  (guitarra), Mark Stoermer  (baix) i Ronald “Ronnie” Vannucci Jr.  (bateria). Progressivament,  van començar a guanyar adeptes, especialment en el Regne Unit. El seu primer disc, “Hot Fuss” va ser  un èxit internacional. A  l’octubre de 2006 van llançar el seu segon àlbum, “Sam’s Town”; cada un va vendre 15 milions de còpies a tot el mon. La seva discografia continuà amb un tercer treball de versions, remixes i rareses i finalment, el passat novembre de 2009 van editar el seu primer i esperat DVD en directe  Live from the Royal Albert Hall..

El significat de la lletra és força profund i existencial. Ens fa pensar en com fem les coses; si les fem per la nostra pròpia voluntat o seguim la rutina com si fóssim robots.
