Els fòssils que es troben, els porten als museus, perquè així la gent els pugui anar a veure. Els que s’han trencat o fet malbé, els porten a restaurar.
Cada vegada que desenterren un fòssil en una determinada zona, els van posant un número per saber quants n’han anat trobant.
El Lluís ens va ensenyar en directe les diferents eines que fa servir, com la cola, el martell,l’ escarpa, regles per mesurar,pinzells per treure la sorra…
Vam poder veure imatges d’una de les seves últimes troballes, unes tortugues de fa un milió d’anys.
Per acabar la xerrada ens va fer un experiment:en un bol de vidre va posar uns escuradents que representarien els ossos, llavors una pila de terrossos de sucre que significaven la muntanya de terra. Per sobre li va tirar aigua, com si fos la pluja i vam veure com els terrossos es desfeien i es barrejaven amb l’aigua i els escuradents. Hem deixat aquest bol reposar i anirem veient com s’evapora l’aigua i com el sucre es va solidificant amb els escuradents. Així és com es formen els ossos a la natura.
