Qui és Andreiy Xepkin ?
Andrei Xepkin (en ucraïnès: Андрій Щепкін) ( Zaporíjjia, Unió Soviètica 1965 ) és un jugador d’handbol ucraïnès, nacionalitzat espanyol, ja retirat, guanyador d’una medalla olímpica.
Va néixer l’1 de maig de 1965 a la ciutat de Zaporíjjia, població situada a la província de Zaporíjjia, que en aquells moments formava part de la República Socialista Soviètica d’Ucraïna (Unió Soviètica) i que avui en dia forma part d’Ucraïna. Es nacionalitzà espanyol el 1997.

Trajectòria amb la selecció
Amb la selecció de la Unió Soviètica aconseguí guanyar la medalla de plata en Campionat Mundial d’Handbol l’any 1990.
Amb la selecció espanyola d’handbol va participar en els Jocs Olímpics d’estiu de 2000 realitzats a Sydney (Austràlia), on va aconseguir guanyar la medalla de bronze en derrotar la selecció de Sèrbia i Montenegro en el partit pel tercer lloc. Amb la selecció espanyola a més ha guanyat dues medalles en el Campionat d’Europa.
