Louis Pasteur was born in Dôle,France on 27 of Dicember.
He was a French chemist.
His contributions in organic chemistry was the discovery of the dimorphism
of tartaric acid, noting the microscope that the racemic acid had two types of glass, with mirror symmetry. It was thus the discoverer of right-handed and left-handed forms which diverted the plane of polarization of light with the same angle but in opposite directions.
Made extensive studies on the microbiology and definitely helped disprove the theory of spontaneous generation.
Some of his contemporaries, including the eminent German chemist Justus von Liebig, insisted that fermentation was a chemical process requiring no intervention from any body. With the help of a microscope, Pasteur discovered that actually involved two bodies-two varieties of yeast, which were key to the process. One produced alcohol and other lactic acid, which soured wine.
