- Art is a way to express your feelings, and this is what graffiti means.
- There are places where painting graffiti is allowed and they can make them the way they prefer.
- Graffitists want to leave a message on walls so that it can reach to lots of people. A wall is the best place where you can make them because everybody can see them, and there are lots of walls.
- The ability to produce complicated pieces is what separates the tagger from the graffiti artist; graffitist for short. Taggers scribble and graffitists do art. The completion of a piece or a production involves a great deal of imagination, planning, and effort.
- There is a huge difference between kids tagging in the street and graffiti artists.
- Some of them can be really beautiful, if they are well painted, and if the people know how to paint or has some experience on it.
- producing graffiti art with a crew builds team work in that the crew works together for the accomplishment of a common goal. The feeling of this achievement in league with others is of value to the artist.
- Street art beautifies the community by appearing on areas that normally would be eyesores

- Graffiti are made illegal, as in homes or shops where people do not want them done.
- A lot of signs have been tagged over by some graffiti and it could cause road accidents as a result of driver’s confusion
- Many people do not like them because they make places look dirty, abandoned and unsafe. (tags)
- Graffiti aren’t in museums or art galleries that’s why they aren’t art.
- Local governments spend a big amount of money in removing graffiti from towns and cities. There are organizations against them and following every step they take.

I like this section because we see the two visions about graffiti that currently exist.
The graffiti can be vandalism for some people, but I personally consider it a way of expression. I must ask…why is there free speech now? Are we in a freer society nowadays?
Art is used so that people see the political and social reality of the world.
I totally agree with Banksy! Can anybody think he is not an artist?
I like grafitti and I think it’s art too, but it’s true that in some places it should be prohibited because, there are some very ugly grafitti and they don’t make places look beautiful.
super cool that is
I love public art (with people permission), but I am against graffiti and there more reason then just hating how some are not appropriate for the public setting (even though as a 13-year-old girl some I would rather not seen, and bleach does not help). One of them that I was glad it listed it that government “pays” for it, but that isn’t true it’s the adults’ taxes, so any young readers like me it’s your parents paying for this. Also, let me add I do not want to pay someone else art class, I already have mine to pay. One more thing and I am done, when someone tags homes or small business it’s hard to pay for it, and it is somewhat a sign of entitlement. It is like someone getting your birthday cake and writing their name on it, it’s just plain rude. Sorry for the rant, and didn’t mean to offend anyone if I did, just wanted to share.
I hate graffiti but it is kinda art
Graffiti isnt just illegal art,its more of an expression of art. It depends on your emotion. If your uncreative then u will be considered a tagger but if ur experienced ur considered a graffitist and will make beautiful and inspirational art work

GRAFFITI MOST DEFINNATILY IS ART….sorry but that bit is not true because alot of graffiti is in galleries and museums.
This was a good website for me to learn about graffiti.
I like grafiti
No matter how “nice” it is, it’s still being done on someone elses property. You know what they call grafitti done on your own property or with permission? Art. And it demeans artists that spend the time and effort to get recognized and appreciated so that people WANT and PAY them for their art. Freedom of speech is not freedom to damage other peoples property, period. If you have a counter argument that gets around the fact that it’s not only illegal, but disrepectful I’d love to hear it. FYI, commissioned arists are NOT graffiti artists no mater what their medium is.
