Sleeping black dog

This is the fourth riddle. A riddle about a black dog.

A black dog is sleeping in the middle of a black road that has no streetlights and there is no moon. A car coming down the road with its lights off doesn’t run over the dog. How did the driver know the dog was there?

    If there is no moon, it(he,she) wants to say that there can be, and, be therefore by day(in the daytime) the Sun, and the driver sees the dog. Because of it he(she) does not need lights.
