The digestive system allows our body to get the nutrients it needs. Digestion begins in the mouth. The food then travels down the oesophagus and into the stomach. The small intestine separates the nutrients from the waste. The nutrients pass to the circulatory system and travel to all the body cells. The waste passes to the large intestine and leaves the body through the anus.

We can look after ourselves in differents ways. We need to have a balanced diet. This means eating lots of different foods – not just the ones we like. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the shadow of the Earth. During this type of eclipse the Moon appears to be a reddish color. This type of eclipse can only occur during a full moon. During ancient times, an eclipse was scary because people used the Moon and Sun to tell time and seasons. When the Moon’s appearance made a drastic change, people really did not know what to expect.
