The VIII Jornades de Llengües Estrangeres de les comarques gironines, or the 8th Conference of Foreign Languages of Girona, took place the 26, 27, 28 of Novembre in the EOI and in the “IES d’hostaleria” of the city of Girona.

This year, the activity is conducted under the International Year of Languages, and it is the third action that the  territorial Educationanal SErvices of Girona organise to celebrate it.

On Saturday 29 of November we were invited to participate as speakers at this conference and we could explain the different activities designed and carried out with our students in sixth grade, with whom we are doing the Portfolio project since 2007.

Our presentations was: Putting up the European Language Portfolio (PEL). Application in the classroom teaching of Primary schools. In it, we explained what the Portfolio is, its applications in our Cicle Superior classrooms, we showed our blog, in which we share our activities, schedules, programmings  based on LOE curriculum, as well as information related to the Portfolio with those who would be interested.

The conseller of Education, Ernest Maragall, closed the  VIII Jornades de Llengües Estrangeres de Girona, which was attended by 400 teachers to update their knowledge about foreign languages teaching.
