Food chains. Let’s read!

Dear students,

SEE YOU NEXT CLASS!

There are lots of problems facing our planet today. A lot of people live on our planet, and the earth’s resources won’t last forever. But there are lots of things that we can do to help to look after our planet, and to make sure that the environment has a great future.

Taking care of our planet is in our hands…Let’s learn more things about it. Just download this PDF file and let’s work!

We all make lots of rubbish, but we don’t have to throw all of our rubbish away. We can ‘recycle’ some rubbish, for example, glass, paper, metal or plastic. That means that the glass, paper and plastic are used to make new things.

In this game you’ll see a bedroom – and it’s very messy! There is a lot of rubbish lying around. Can you put the rubbish in the right recycling bins? The ‘compost’ bin is for food.

Learning a language – a mind map

Mind maps are great for many things (and obviously, for CLIL as well!). Children -and adults- learn, and can study better when writing all the main ideas about a topic on a mind map.

As Tony Buzan mentioned: a Mind Map is a powerful graphic technique which provides a universal key to unlock the potential of the brain. It harnesses the full range of cortical skills – word, image, number, logic, rhythm, colour and spatial awareness – in a single, uniquely powerful manner. In so doing, it gives you the freedom to roam the infinite expanses of your brain. The Mind Map can be applied to every aspect of life where improved learning and clearer thinking will enhance human performance.

Dear students/Benvolguts alumnes,

Aqui teniu una web interessant en anglès sobre la piràmide dels aliments (food pyramid) que hem estat treballant darrerament a l’escola. A més, us podeu descarregar un petit pòster per tal que tingueu la piràmide ben a mà, a casa vostra! Cool hugh??!!

Talk to you later and see you next class!
