Flamingos are pink because,of a food chain. Flamingos eat animals called crustaceans. Crustaceans eat algae. Algae contain nutrients that can cause things to be pink. When a flamingo eats the crustaceans, it takes in these nutrients. This causes the flamingo’s feathers to turn pink.
