We often look into the future trying to find newbies that make our teaching catchier. These videos from Schoolhouse Rock are still nice to watch. With the teacher’s assistance, primary students can learn a lot as they have a very good time. Just go to YouTube and type Schoolhouse Rock, and there you are: adjectives, prepositions, verbs… There’s an unofficial website where you can listen to the songs and read the lyrics. Up to you!

Here’s a good example of the way many of us used to sing English songs when we did not have a clue of how to say Good morning. I remember my “O beri moco” being the original “More than a woman” Bee Gees used to sing.

Google has released a beta version of a web translator. It is rather fast, and the results are promising.

I think this is worth a try… why don’t you use it in tutoria in English… or even in your own ELT class if you want to teach values? Do parents always behave as they should?
