Midsummer’s Day (4th, 5th and 6th grade)

Today is Midsummer’s Day, the middle of summer, it is the 24th of June, after the longest day (Summer Solstice). Before the change of calendars, Midsummer’s day fell on 5 July.
The longest day in the northern hemisphere is the 20th or 21st of June, but Midsummer’s Day in Europe is the 24th June.
Yesterday, it was Midsummer’s Eve(we call it revetlla de St. Joan). It is a time associated with witches, magic, fairies and dancing. Bonfires were lit to represent the strenght of the Sun.

L’Escola Splai guanya el concurs “Kids School 2015” organitzat per Panasonic !!
0Benvolguts alumnes i visitants,
El diari de l’alumne 6è de l’Escola Splai, Marc Gutiérrez Gómez ha estat el guanyador del concurs “Kids School” de Panasonic com a millor “Diari d’imatges ecològiques” de tota Espanya.
Podeu veure el seu diari fent clic aquí. El diari consta de 3 redaccions en anglès i 3 dibuixos que representen la sensibilització i les actuacions que podem fer per tenir cura del medi ambient.
El quadern d’en Marc anirà a Japó a representar a Espanya en el Certamen Internacional del concurs. Com a premi, Panasonic li ha fet entrega d’una càmera fotogràfica Lumix de Panasonic que ja li ha arribat.
L’escola ha rebut una televisió Viera Smart 3D de 50 polzades com a premi al centre que ha presentat els diaris d’imatges ecològiques més complerts. També ens han fet entrega de 32 kits de cotxe hibrid per fabricar cotxes de joguina respectant el medi ambient.

Benvolguts bloggers i lectors !
Tenim el plaer de comunicar-los la resolució del concurs organitzat pels portals Bab.la i Lexiophiles “Top 100 Language Blogs”, encarregat de sel·leccionar els 100 blocs més importants sobre llengües del món a l’any 2015.
Segons hem conegut aquest migdia, el bloc “L’anglés a l’Escola Splai” ha aconseguit el 66è lloc del món !! 😆 entre els més de 1000 blocs presentats a la primera fase. La resolució ha estat basada, al 50 %, en les votacions dels usuaris i en la valoració d’un jurat de lingüistes.
També hem entrat al TOP 25 de la categoría de Learning Blogs. Estem considerats com al 22è Bloc d’Ensenayament de Llengües més útil pels usuaris que volen aprendre una nova llengua.
Fent click a les imatges, podreu consultar la llista. Cal destacar que som la única escola de primària que ha aconseguit entrar a la llista dels 100 blocs.
Moltes felicitats a tothom 😀 , ja que als criteris generals es valora la gran quantitat d’articles publicats al llarg del curs 14-15, les més de 469.000 visites rebudes i els més de 32.900 comentaris de l’alumnat.
