Midsummer’s Day (4th, 5th and 6th grade)

Today is Midsummer’s Day, the middle of summer, it is the 24th of June, after the longest day (Summer Solstice). Before the change of calendars, Midsummer’s day fell on 5 July.
The longest day in the northern hemisphere is the 20th or 21st of June, but Midsummer’s Day in Europe is the 24th June.
Yesterday, it was Midsummer’s Eve (we call it revetlla de St. Joan). It is a time associated with witches, magic, fairies and dancing. Bonfires were lit to represent the strenght of the Sun.

A finals de juny, com sempre, el curs toca a la seva fi ! Però per a vosaltres no ha estat un curs més, ha estat el final de una etapa de la vostra vida que és tot just el començament d’un meravellós camí. Al llarg de l’estiu, els mestres no us perseguirán buscant l’entrega de treballs o deures !! Aquesta ha estat una promoció molt alegre, participativa i sobretot, molt especial per tots els mestres de l’Splai.
Les classes es buiden i faig memòria dels moments tan bonics que hem viscut junts al llarg dels últims sis anys de la vostra etapa a Educació Primària:els nostres primers minibooks que portaveu a casa per repassar el vocabuari en anglès amb molta il·lusió, els jocs de taula, les classes d’expressió oral, les cançons dels Concerts, els més de 1.000 enregistraments d’audio i vídeo realitzats, els 12 examens de Moodle, els Projectes Europeus, les més de 300 activitats de Bloc plantejades les colònies d’anglès a Salamanca…
Confio en vosaltres i sé que no em fallareu ! Segur que encarareu aquesta nova etapa a l’Educació Secundària amb il·lusió, motivació, esforç i ganes de treballar.
Vosaltres saveu que no és un adéu, és un FINS AVIAT ! Les portes de l’Splai sempre estaran obertes per vosaltres i mitjançant el Bloc d’Anglès us podreu comunicar amb nosaltres sempre que volgueu i preguntar dubtes o fer-nos partíceps de les vostres vivències i alegries.
A títol personal, només us diré que ha estat un plaer poder guiar-vos al llarg d’aquesta etapa i que sempre estaré disponible per a què pregunteu dubtes o ajudar-vos en el que necessiteu. Tot just, em queda desitjar-vos molta sort i felicitar-vos per tot el que us heu esforçat !
P.D. No us oblideu de fer els deures que vagi posant al Bloc durant l’estiu !!
