FLAMINGOS ARE PINK BECAUSE OF A FOOD CHAIN. FLAMINGOS EAT ANIMALS CALLED CRUSTACENS. CRUSTECENS EAT ALGAE. ALGAE CONTAIN NUTRIENTS THAT CAN CAUSE THINGS TO BE PINK. WHEN A FLAMINGO EATS THE CRUSTACENS IT TAKES IN THESE NUTRIENTS.THIS CAUSES THE FLAMINGO’S FEATHERS TO TURN PINK.
