I´m going to write about Charlie Rivel.
His artistic name was Josep Andreu i Laserre.
He was born in Cubellees in 1896.
He was a famous clown.
In 1973 acted like a guest star in the festival of Eurivision.
He died in Sant Pere de Ribes in 1983.

I’m going to write about Caterina Albert.
She was born in Escala(Alt Empordà) in 1869.
When she was a girl, she liked painting and reading.
She published “El cant dels mesos” and “El llibre blanc” in 1905.
She was the author of “Quatre monòlegs” in 1902 and “Teatre inèdit” in 1967.
In 1902 she published “Drames rurals” with the pseudonym of “Victor Catala”.

I’m going to write about Arantxa Sànchez Vicario.
She was born in Barcelona in 1971.
She was a tennis player.
In 1989, she won Roland Garros.
She won eight tournaments in 1994.
Between 1990 and 2000 she was also a member of the Spanish teams that won the Hopman Cup.
In 1995, she was the best tennis player in the world.
In 1998, she won her 4th Grand Slam tournament.
In 2000, she had won 29 single tournaments and 69 doubles tournaments.
In 2009, Arantxa had her first daughter.

He was a painter.
He was born in Barcelona in 1923.
He was a painter.
He began his career in 1945 after leaving his law degree.
In 1950 he was awarded a scholarship in Paris
That same year he did his first solo exhibition.
In 1951 he started a new style called “Dau al set”
In 1953 he began working in mixed media.
He was influenced by Paul Klee and Joan Miró
In 1990 he opened “Fundació Tapies”.
