Conditionals
Last Academic Year I posted the ‘Real English’ lesson on conditionals . If you want to watch the videoclip and do the exercises again, type ‘conditionals’ into the search engine in order to find them.
I’m posting a ppt on conditionals, thanks to an English teacher who has kindly shared his presentation. Thank you very much.
You will also find a clear summary of conditional forms on English Page.
I hope you enjoy the sites and find everything useful.

Sister Mary Dracula
October 31st is Halloween. Where does Halloween come from? The Celts lived in Britain, Ireland and parts of France over 2,000 years ago, and October 31st was the end of their year. The Celts believed that ghosts came back to earth on this day. Today many people around the world celebrate this old festival – but today people usually have parties, dress up, and tell spooky stories about witches, skeletons, bats and ghosts.
Sister Mary Dracula was created in the summer of 2001 and was selected for the San Diego Comic Con Independent Film Festival in 2004.
Watch this animation and have some Halloween fun! BOOOOO!!!
Happy Easter!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
This is the last week of classes and Christmas is around the corner. I know that you are going to be pretty busy these days: you will probably decorate the house, prepare special dishes, visit family, go to a party, wrap and deliver presents, travel, do your homework (ha,ha) etc. So it might be nice to be able to just sit back , relax and enjoy the Christmas episode of Friends and listen to a traditional Christmas carol sung by The Jingle Cats.
To all my students at EOI and to everyone throughout the blogosphere and beyond:
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Goodbye to the Normals
Alfie Field
Goodbye to the Normals is a British short film, approximately 4 mins long, which follows a fictional story about a small boy running away from home. The film was originally broadcast in the UK by Channel 4. It is currently touring the film festival circuit, either on its own or as part of the British Council Festival Submission Scheme.
I’ve prepared a listening for you but before you start watching the film, have a look at the vocabulary you might need to know in order to understand the dialogue.
To run away = to leave a place or person secretly and suddenly
To take one’s fancy = If something takes/tickles your fancy, you like it and want to have or do it
To be all packed = be packed to have put your things into a bag or box, etc
A surgery = the treatment of injuries or diseases in people or animals by cutting open the body and removing or repairing the damaged part.
Make up your mind on something = to decide
Can I give you a lift to the airport? = Do you want me to take you to the airport?
Fairtrade = a way of buying and selling products that makes certain that the original producer receives a fair price (Comerç Just)
organic = not using artificial chemicals in the growing of plants and animals for food and other products. (biològic)
Watch the film and answer the following questions.
1. Where is the boy going?
2. How long is he going to be away?
3. Is he worried about school?
4. What is his dad going to do with his room?
5. How is he travelling ?
6. Why does he refuse the sandwich?
7. Why does he come back?
