After Christmas: we’re going to the theatre!

Unit 3 (1.04) activities

    We’re starting the second term tomorrow!

    Tomorrow, which is a Wednesday, not a Monday (!), we’re starting the second term. It is dedicated to the present simple, which is not that difficult if you take your time and think about what you’re doing in the classroom.

    Scotland, an independent republic?

    Traditionally, we teachers have taught our students that the UK is divided in four nations: Wales, England, Northern Ireland and Scotland (Unit 1; Digital text 1.02). However, Scotland may change this scenario. The Scottish government wants to ask the Scottish people if they want to separate from the rest of the United Kingdom. The problem is that the majority of Scottish members of Parliament are not in favour of independence. How will everything end?
