This week is music week, so here goes a song that will take you to the coldest days of the year. As I write this the temperature has dropped to only 6 degrees. Last week, it was 14 degrees at exactly the same time (check meteo.cat‘s website data for Cunit).

This is a translation from a text. But … who is the author? Is he a professional singer? Is she a woman? Or is the author a student in 4th of ESO?

Today we plan a 6 panel comic strip. The story is this “Claudia ies a 13 year old student. She is studying for a history exam and slowly falls asleep”.

Will our students produce an interesting comic plan???

4th of ESO groups are now passing the equator of the 1st term. We’ve already done three exams:

• The irregular verbs exam, which showed excellent results for some groups.
• Unit 1 test, with three difficulty levels.
• The oral test, which was on the day of the student’s strike and did not affect 4th ESO B, which was taking the exam a day later.

We have also finished the first 40 activities (39 for some!) in the dossier of Unit 1. Presently, we are almost finishing the 35 activities for Unit 2, dedicated to the present perfect.

Unit 3 is very similar to Unit 2, as it also deals with the present perfect so… for most of the students in 4th ESO we might as well say that the contents for the first term are over (except for some vocabulary, of course!).

Next day we’ve got our first exam. The content of the exam is:

· Cartoon language (definition of panel, speech bubble, etc.)

· Cartoon jobs (writer, colourist, letterer, etc.)
