The exam of unit 7 will only include the combinations of verbs + preposition that are included in your No Problem 4! coursebook. They are:

• to make up with = fer les paus amb
• to go out with = sortir amb
• to break up with = trencar amb
• to fall in love with = enamorar-se de
• to have an argument with = discutir-se amb
• to get married to = casar-se amb
• to talk to = parlar amb (American English = talk with)
• to get divorced from = divorciar-se de
• to talk about = parlar de
• complain about = queixar-se de

Apart from these verbs + preposition, you should also be familiar with the verbs that appear in unit 113 of your Essential Grammar in Use. However, you will not be tested on them. They are:

Oxford Practice Grammar (Basic), also known as ‘the blue book’, adds the following combinations:

• belong to = pertànyer a
• apply for =  fer una solicitut
• agree with = estar d’ acord amb
• arrive at = arribar a un lloc petit o un edifici
• arrive in = arribar a una ciutat o país

During the last week, Vilaweb has asked its readers about how they would like to see films when they go to the cinema. The results show:

• 83% would like to continue watching dubbed films, but in Catalan, not in Spanish.
• 16 % would like to listen to the original soundtrack with Catalan subtitles.

Conclusion: Vilaweb readers want Catalan in cinemas, but we are still reluctant about having to read the subtitles. Let’s see if we can change this trend.
