During the last week, Vilaweb has asked its readers about how they would like to see films when they go to the cinema. The results show:
Conclusion: Vilaweb readers want Catalan in cinemas, but we are still reluctant about having to read the subtitles. Let’s see if we can change this trend.
Sembla que finalment hi haurà una llei que obligui a les sales de cinema a mostrar pel·lícules en català, al menys en igual proporció que en castellà. La bona notícia és doble per què, per una banda, es corregirà una anormalitat que s’ arrossega des de la dictadura espanyola; i en segon lloc, per què l’ escàs marge de maniobra economica del que disposa la Generalitat farà que la majoria de les pel·licules en català no siguin doblades, sinó subtitolades. Podrem gaudir del cinema en versió original sense haver de viatjar als quatre cinemes de Barcelona que encara les ofereixen.

I finished marking the results and I am a bit confused. It seems that the name of the class the students are may influence their performance. Otherwise, how could one explain the alarmingly low results for the weakest groups in the easy exam, whereas other students, taking the same exam, did brilliantly. Anyway, I’ll think about it; however, as Master Shifu says in Kung-Fu Panda “There’s no such thing as level zero”, so I will not lower the difficulty of the easy test.
