The intermediate level exams are now marked and the results have been very good. Only one or two people have failed the test, which I think is very good news; and there was even a 10!! The average result was 6.9. Congratulations!

End of term tests (easy level)
The easy level tests for the end of the first term are now marked. This time, the penalised wrong answers with -1/2 and, as a consequence, results are lower than for unit 2. The average result? 5.03, which is not bad (for an easy level exam).
Alea iacta est
Julius Caesar said ‘alea iacta est’ upon crossing the Rubicon in 49 BC, according to Suetonius. It is used when you cross the point of no return, usually in risky situtations when the outcome is not very clear.
Of course, we’re talking about the end of the 1st term. All the examinations have been taken and now we have to wait for the results.
Wow! Imagine him as a teacher!!
Where’s the vocabulary of units 1, 2 and 3?

Crazy English!
This morning I had to spend some time with some 2nd batx. students. They were reading a text about Lin Yang, a Chinaman who learnt English by shouting sentences in a park. The idea is crazy, but he became very succesful and did learn a lot of English. Now, he wants to teach his method to his fellow countrymen.
Watch it and… think.
