El món de la música pop està dominat per la llengua anglesa, raó per la qual moltes vegades ens sonen les lletres de cançons tot i que la pronunciació no sigui gaire acurada. Aquí en tenim un exemple. Una aspirant a l’ Operación Triunfo búlgara canta “Can’t live (without you)” de Mariah Carey, reinterpretada com “Ken Lee”.
Simply watch this clip. In case you find the pronunciation a bit different from the one in class, it’s American English and there will be some differences.
This Saturday, 7 June, sees the start of Euro 2008, European football’s most important championship. Contrary to what normally happens with the tournament (which is held every four years) this year’s event is organised by two countries, Austria and Switzerland, rather than just one.
Why don’t you try this game and revise your irregular verbs for this week’s tests?
The game is called Verbbusters, and the instructions are very simple:
1. Choose your name.
2. Choose your language (but it’s not necessary)
3. Choose the difficulty level.
4. Complete the verbs (you can press the tab key to go to the next section and press ‘enter’ when you have finished)

If you want to see how is the fastest at typing sentences in English, check this site. You must enter your nickname -there’s no need to subscribe though!-, and simply compete against other people. I have tried it and it is quite amusing. My maximum score was 76 wpm (words per minute). What about you?
Constellations are sections of the sky made up of a group of stars (celestial bodies that emit their own light) and the area that surrounds them. The groups are totally arbitrary because they are sometimes made up of stars that lie huge distances from one another. To find out about the origin of constellations, we have to go back to ancient times.
Once again the irregular verbs are important for your 3rd term results. For some of you they are more than important, they are decisive. Here you can download the exams:
