‘Tribe’ is a BBC production which shows a journalist – Bruce Parry-, experiencing life in some of the remotest areas in the world. For a short while, he becomes a member of the tribe who lives in that area.
This episode is particularly moving, as you will see how close the relationship between the Bruce and the tribe becomes. I suggest you sit back and relax, turn off the light and watch this hour-lenght documentary on whole-screen (double click).

Aquests dies en què expliquem com es formen els condicionals a 2n de batxillerat, o els verbs modals, trobo a faltar que els meus alumnes haguessin après a fer servir els temps verbals quan eren a l’ ESO.
Dels temps verbals se’n fan des de 1r, tot i que només els més bàsics, els dos tipus de present. A 2n es fan els de 1r i, a més, els dos passats. A 3r s’ hi afegeix a tots els altres el present perfecte; a 4t una mica de repàs general i els temps verbals que queden.
Tornant al tema dels condicionals o dels verbs modals: estudiar-se la llista o l’ estructura és ben senzill, es podria resumir tot en 5 línies. Ara bé, aplicar aquests coneixements requereix dominar els temps verbals. Si no es dominen, ja es pot saber què és un verb modal, quines característiques té o quins sentits pot arribar a tenir, que si no som capaços de fer-lo servir en present simple, o en futur continu… És com un iceberg: el material nou que s’ ensenya a classe és realment mínim, però el que es necessita per aplicar-ho… això és tot el que hi ha a sota.
Aquesta mateixa reflexió l’ he dut a un curs del batxillerat on són evidents algunes mancances, i molts dels alumnes reconeixien que havien llançat l’ oportunitat d’ aprendre anglès quan eren a l’ ESO. Potser ara és massa tard, i la feina de recuperar el temps perdut els ofega.
Mentrestant, seguim fent feina amb els cursos de l’ ESO per assegurar-nos que aquests “esvorancs” siguin el més petits possibles.
