Practice the difference between the past continuous and the simple past
These are two useful exercises that will help you see if you really understand the difference between these two tenses:
Well done, 4th ESO!!
The students of 4th grade of ESO are very happy because of the results of their irregular verbs test.
4th ESO C and B got 9s and 10s.
4th ESO D got many 9s and 10s, but some people hadn’t studied and got 0s.
4th ESO A, some people got good results, but unfortunately there were lots of 0s.
My conclusion is that all of the students who studied got 9s and 10s, the rest got zeros. It’s quite curious that there is no middle ground: very few 5s or 6s. What do you think about this?
Well done, 4th ESO C!!
The vast majority of you got either a 9 or a 10 in today’s irregular verbs exam. CONGRATULATIONS!
A loooong, rainy week ahead
Yes, it seems we’re going to have some wet weather for the whole week, so I thought maybe we could do something about it. To begin with, here’s a little excerpt from a song translated into Catalan. Do you know which song it is?
“Quan surt el sol, lluim tots junts,
ja et vaig dir que hi seria sempre,
que seria la teva amiga,
ho vaig jurar, i ho penso matenir fins el final.
I ara que plou més que mai,
sé que al menys ens tenim l’ un a l’ altre,
pots quedar-te sota el meu paraigües,
pots quedar-te sota el meu paraigües,
(aigües, aigües, sí, sí, sí
sota el meu paraigües…)”
Easy, isn’t it?
