Session 16: Comic language and conventions
Today we begin a new part of the course. We will learn what the parts of a comic, what their names are and what they are used for.
Link to Wikipedia’s comic language article.
Session 15: Room objects (2), perspective
In this session we are going to manipulate room objects and draw them from different points of view. We will discuss the visual effects they may convey.
Session 14: The Room
Draw your character in a room. For this activity you need to bring 10 pictures of room objects.
A room with a character
After the three sessions dedicated to the study of movement, we have turned radically to a more relaxed atmosphere: your room. We have collected pictures of room objects, we have decomposed into the three basic forms (sphere, box and cylinder) and we have finally drawn a room, with objects and our personally created character.
Today’s best student was … Raul Álvarez. He was the first student to finish and his simple, but effective drawing was stounding. Good for you!
Sessions 10, 11 and 12
The common theme of these sessions is movement. What better way to understand it and think about it than by watching an action movie?
During these three sessions we’ll be watching Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, in original version with Catalan subtitles.
