Education in Catalonia

The results of a piece of research carried out by the Fundació Jaume Bofill show that 14% 4th ESO Catalan students are in fact repeat students. This percentage leaves Catalonia at the end of secondary education statistics in Spain, which is only worse in Extremadura and the Canary Islands. When asking 24 year-olds, 34% answered they stopped going to school after finishing the ESO. This figure is one of the worst in Europe, where only Portugal and Malta have higher percentages.
