Someone Like You

“Someone Like You” is a book written by Roald Dahl. It is a science fiction book, also considered a mystery and horror book. There is not only one story told because every chapter has a new plot.

Every story has things in common with the others: the mystery, the randomness and, last but not least, plot twists. The writer starts every chapter creating an environment and introducing the main character (or characters). After letting the reader get into the story, the tension rises considerably until the plot twist or, in other words, the big surprise.

I have to say that I really like cosy and dreamy stories, but what I do prefer is how they are told. This book has both aspects. Characters are described in a way that there is no bad or good one. At almost every end of the stories, the reader can empathise with them, see the tragedy but the luck too.

In my opinion, this is a great book and easy to read. Chapters are short so everyone can read one or more when there is spare time with no need to be constant. Don’t be afraid to forget where you were because every chapter is a new story. I would recommend the book to anyone that likes unpredictable stories because once you start reading, you could not know how the end is going to be.
