Activity ESO2: WRITING NEWS

We are going to create a piece of news in pairs. To do it you have to follow these steps:

STEP 1. Choose a natural phenomena (tsunami, earthquake, landslide, storm, hailstones, avalanche, hurricane, volcano, flood, thunder and lightning, wildfire or tornado)

STEP2. Go to Padlet to create your piece of news and

  • Add a title to your news.
  • Write your piece of news. You must include this information: What happened?When? Where? To what people?  What were the people doing when it happened?
  • Add photos or videos. You have to add photos and videos to illustrate your piece of news. You can find a lot of pictures in Google Images. Make sure your image is Creative Commons by checking it in “Eines de cerca –> Drets d’ús”. You can also find videos on Youtube.
  • Sign it with your name, surname and group.

STEP 3. Click on the “SHARE” button and send me the link by mail or as a comment in this post.

ASSESSMENT

We are going to use this rubric to correct your presentations. You will be given from 0 to 3 points. The maximum mark is 6:

Write an essay about your Christmas holidays using some of the sentences we gathered in class. Use at least 5 sentences. You have to hand it in on January the 15th.
