1. Let’s take some risks!

Task 1. What do you know about these extreme sports?

Watch the video and think about your experiences in practicing these sports. If you do not have any experience, which one would you like to practice?

Task 2. The Fly Swatter Game

Line up in front of the board in two teams. When the teacher says the name of one sport you have to run and touch the picture with the fly swatter. The first that touches the picture will get a point for his or her team.

Task 3. Extreme Sports Taboo

It is time to play taboo with your classmates! You have to describe one sport using the words given in the card to your partner. If he guesses the word, he will get one point and if he does not guess it, you will describe another sport until he or she guesses it.

The Secret Life of Pets: Present Simple

I. Do you like animation movies? Have you heard about this new one?

II. Let’s meet the characters:

III. Watch the movie trailer and write the names of the characters who perform the activities listed below:

IV. SPEAKING ACTIVITIES. Split the class in four groups. Each activity lasts 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, the groups change station; they change the activity.

STATION 1. You ask the group which animal does a specific activity.

STATION 2. You ask the group Yes-No Questions related to the activities given in exercise III. If necessary, you must add a time expression.
A: Do you play video games in the morning?
B: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
A: Does your _________ like massage?
B: Yes, He does. / No, He doesn’t.

STATION 3. True or False? You say a true or false sentence from exercise III . The group must agree or correct the sentence.
A: Max likes massage.
B: No, It’s ________
A: Max waits for someone.
B: That’s correct.

STATION 4. 2 true facts and 1 lie about you.
A student says three sentences for the group about him/herself. He/She can use the sentences from the exercise 3 to describe about him or her. Two sentences are true and one is false. The group should guess which sentence is a lie. They have only two chances.

Step 6 – Add profile to the top bar

We are going to add our profile to the top bar.

A. Go to Google Sites and sign in. Click on MORE ACTIONS —>EDIT SITE LAYOUT.

B. Click on HORIZONTAL NAVIGATION.

A new horizontal bar appears with the label “Home”.

Click on the bar. You see this:

C. Change the style. You can choose “Boxes”, “Tabs” or “Links”.

D. Click on  addpage.  Select the page with your profile and click on “OK”

F. Click on  close.

Step 5 – My Personal Profile

You are going to write a personal profile for your writing site.

Important: You can NEVER write your personal information, like your surnames, email address, telephone number… And you can NEVER upload a picture where you or any of your friends appear.

A. Go to Sites Google and sign in. Click on “Create page”.create-a-page_-google-sites

B. Give the page a title ( My profile, Me, This is me…). The template is “Web Page” and the location “Put the page at the top level”.

C. Write your text. You can add a picture that describes you. You mustn’t upload a picture of your face.

Step 4- Let’s start writing!

You are going to start writing on your Writing Site!

A. Go to Sites Google and sign in.

Go to ESO YEAR 1 and click on  newpost_googlesites. You always need to click on “New post” when you write a new text.

B. Now you can write your text. It works like a “Word document”.

C. You can add a picture to accompany your text. The picture can be yours or from the Internet. Remember to quote the source of the picture. On the write hand bar there are some links for free online pictures.

Remember you can NEVER upload a picture where you or any of your friends appear!
