Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet”
I. Click on this link and watch the video about “Romeo & Juliet”‘s plot. Then do the comprehension exercises.
II. Watch the 1996 film and discuss the following questions:
Are Romeo and Juliet’s deaths just a tragic accident? If not, who is responsible?
Do you think the story of Romeo and Juliet is relevant to life today?

The history of a product: jeans
You are going to do a presentation about the history of a product. It can be any general product you like or you find interesting or it can be a specific brand.
You are going to do the oral presentations in pairs. You can use Power Point, Google Slides, Prezi, Padlet… to do you presentation. You can also add pictures (check this link to know how to get free photos).
You can write your names and the products or brands in these lists: 4thA STUDENTS’LIST & 4thB STUDENTS’LIST.
You need to add the following information which you can find on the Internet or in a book.
1- How did this product get its name?
2- Why did people use it?
3- What was it made from?
4- How did it become popular?
5- Who used them?
6- What has happened to this product/brand recently?
7- Is this product popular today?
Remember that your Power Point is a kind of guide that you follow to present the information. Don’t write the whole text in it and remember you can’t read the information.

St. George – Writing Contest
If you are an ESO student, you can take part in the contest by writing a mini saga about a classic story, fairy tale, myth or legend. You can change the original plot, the setting, or include new characters.
A mini saga is a short piece of writing containing exactly 50 words, plus a maximum of 15 words for the title. You can include a picture or drawing as in the sample:
All the writings must be delivered to Mar or Laura and sent to iesjblume@hotmail.com in an attached word or pdf document. You must write Creative Writing Contest and your name, surname and course in the subject line.
Deadline: April 11th 2016
