Fairies

Perhaps you think of Pinocchio‘s Blue Fairy, the Good Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz, or Peter Pan’s Tinkerbell when you imagine a fairy. But in fact, fairies don’t like to be seen by people at all.

1. In pairs prepare a fact file on some different types of fairies.

2. Add some pictures.

3. Present your results to the class.

FOOD: Some / any

1. Identify all the food items you see in the pictures and write them in your notebook.
2. Write C (countable) and U (uncountable) next to each item.

3. Write 10 sentences using the food items and using some / any. Follow the examples:

There are some potatoes in my fridge.
There aren’t any potatoes in my fridge.

4. In pairs ask 10 questions. Let’s see if you can guess the food items in your partner’s fridge.

A. Are there any potatoes in your fridge?
B. No, there aren’t. // Yes, there are.
