This week we have practiced speaking skills through games with our 1st grade students to review the winter clothes and colours.
It’s a great way to put into practice the structures and vocabulary learned in the unit and the most important thing is that our students had lots of fun!!!

Last week we celebrated Halloween in the school with our 1st and 2nd grade students.
We learned the Halloween vocabulary by telling stories and singing songs. We coloured some Halloween creatures and did haunted houses!

With Easter Holidays almost here we hope everyone has a chance to recharge the batteries. However, there is lots to do around the local area, what are you going to do? Whatever you choose, have a great holiday!
This is Mr Sloth, The Slowly. It is from the tropical forests of Central and South America that it lives in trees. It loves leaves, shoots, and fruits! Its best friend is an armadillo. Do you like it?

the Image Theatre Group put on a special performance of Lazy Dog in the school. A wonderful time was had by all, with some children even joining up on stage.

This is one of my favourite times of the school year, as students begin to realize that they can read themselves. It’s so exciting for me as a teacher and for the students as well.
It’s such a joy to see the way the students’ reading abilities are improving every day.
Another year begins and as always it’s sure to be an exciting, eventful one here at Josep Janés School.
It’s been a great start to the new term this week, with lots of smiling faces around the school – pupils AND teachers!
