I saw your advertisement in the Daily News yesterday and I would like to apply for the post of waiter for the summer holidays. Last summer I worked in a hotel in Bath and enjoyed it very much. I have never worked in a restaurant before but I like meeting people. I think I am a friendly, calm person and I have a good sense of humour. I can also speak a little French and Italian and I think this is an advantage in a town like Bournemouth where there are a lot of French and Italian students in the summer.
I finish school on July 18th and could start work immediately after that. I would be pleased to come for an interview any Saturday morning.
