This slideshare has to do with the different ways to talk about the past in English. It’s a nice point of departure to begin reviewing past tenses. It provides some examples that can be easily used in class.

 En començar la sessió veiem la col·lecció d’imatges. La mestra escriu el nom d’una en un lloc amagat de la classe. Al final de la sessió pregunta als alumnes “What’s the word of the day?” Els alumnes han d’endevinar quina és la paraula amagada.

In this activity kids will listen to the song Sk8er Boy by Avril Lavigne, they will see the album and try and guess why I chose the images that I did.

After having seen the album and listened to the song they will have to do a gap-filling exercise with the words hidden behind the images.

Once that is done, they have to create an activity like this one with the song that they choose and we’ll do the activity together.
