Happy New School Year
A new school year starts today. The English teachers are happy to meet our students again and share the magic of learning a new language. Let’s go for it!
Books for English 2014-15
Els llibres d’anglès pel curs vinent estan inclosos en el projecte de reutilització de llibres de l’escola, però cal comprar els llibres de primer i segon (són per escriure i manipular) i els quaderns per escriure de tercer a sisè:

Els alumnes de cicle superior també necessiten un diccionari d’anglès a casa (OXFORD Pocket Català, o similar) que els servirà per la primària i l’ESO.
English homework for summer
L’estiu és llarg i tots sabem que no és bo perdre del tot els lligams amb el que s’ha après. Al mercat i a Internet trobareu materials adequats per mantenir el contacte amb la llengua estrangera a l’estiu. Nosaltres us recomanem uns quaderns de continguts bàsics amb activitats variades i lúdiques a partir de segon de primària. Són els OXFORD HOLIDAY ENGLISH (OUP), per segon, tercer, quart, cinquè i sisè. Estan dissenyats per l’auto-estudi, amb instruccions en català i solucionari per corregir les tasques. Cada nivell inclou activitats per escoltar i jocs per l’ordinador.
Els ‘readers’ (llibres amb vocabulari adaptat) també són molt adequats.
Des d’Infantil fins a 6è podeu trobar recursos a la xarxa per compartir activitats amb els vostres fills i refrescar l’anglès. Per exemple:

Let’s talk about the cinema!
In year 6 we have been working on a project about the cinema. These are some of the things that we have done:
- learning new vocabulary and expressions
- talking about films
- watching some short films
- preparing a presentation of a film
- presenting our work to the others

It’s not goodbye forever …
End of the school year. Some of you are not coming back in September. You are about to start a new adventure in Secondary. We will miss you. Work hard and be nice and you will be fine. As simple as that. Good luck!!!

We’re learning this poem from Tony Mitton in year 4 and it is not an easy task because pronunciation is always tricky.
Jennifer, an American voki avatar, helps us to say it perfectly.
One, one, the rising sun.
Two, two, the sky so blue.
Three, three, birds in the tree.
Four, four, milk at the door.
Five, five, the whole world alive.
Six, six, the old clock ticks.
Seven, seven, sun’s in the heaven.
Eight, eight, tea’s on the plate.
Nine, nine, moon starts to shine.
