    CHAPTER 1
    Jonathan Harker was a young lawyer who travelled from England to Transylvania for a meeting with Count Dracula.

    When Jonathan talked to people at the hotel about the reason of his journey, they said that he mustn’t go to the meeting. They made a sign to keep away the evil eye. He didn’t understant anything.
    While he was at the hotel he received a note from the Count which said the day and the place for the meeting.

    He went to Castle Dracula by carriage driven by a strange man.

    Jonathan arrived at the place and saw a big castle which was very dark and frightening.

    CAPITOL 1
    Jonathan Harker era un jove advocat que viatjava des d’Anglaterra cap a Transilvània per una quedada amb el Compte Dràcula.
    Quan Jonathan li parlava a algú sobre la raó del seu viatge, ells li deien que no hauria d’anar i feien una senyal per mantenir lluny l’ull maligne. Ell no entenia res.
    Durant la seva estada a l’hotel va rebre una nota que deia el dia i el lloc de la quedada.
    Ell va anar al castell amb un carruatge conduit per un home estrany.
    Quan en Jonathan arriva veu un gran castell amb una aparença terrorífica.

    CAPÍTULO 2 – CASTILLO DRÁCULA
    No había nada para llamar a la puerta asi que Jonathan estuvo bastante tiempo esperando hasta que porfin le abrió el Conde Dracula.Era un hombre muy anciano.Jonathan le dió la mano al Conde,él explica que la mano era tan fria que sintió que le daba la mano a un muerto.El Conde se lo llevó a un dormitorio alumbrado por muchas velas.El conde era un anciano,pero muy fuerte, tenía los labios muy rojos y los dientes muy blancos.Sus manos eran grandes con uñas largas que parecían las garras de un animal. Había pelo sobre las palmas de sus manos. La piel del Conde era muy pálida y le olía mal el alianto.Al dia siguiente cuando se desperto encontró su desayuno en la mesa y también encontró una nota del Conde que decía que él podia ir por todas partes del castillo pero que no entrase en los sitios donde estan cerrados.Después del desayuno Jonatán anduvo alrededor del castillo. La mayor parte de las puertas estaban cerradas, pero Jonatán encontró la puerta de la biblioteca abierta. Había muchos libros, periódicos y revistas en inglés. Después de que Jonathan terminó su cena, el Conde se sentó con él y le pregunto mucho sobre Inglaterra para el Conde poder comprar una vivienda.Después de estar hablando sobre la casa,el Conde le preguntó que, que cosas se podia llevar al barco.Jonathan mencionó a Mina era la mujer con la que se iba a casar. A la mañana siguiente Jonathan se estaba afeitando cuando vió a través del espejo al Conde que estaba detras de él, al darse el susto se corto con la navaja de afeitar.Cuando de repente el Conde fue hacia su cuello y Jonathan cojió la cruz de oro y el Conde se separó de él advirtiendole que en el Castillo tenia que tener mucho cuidado al cortarse. Jonathan miró abajo de la ventana. Él comprendió que, en este castillo con sus altas paredes, él era un preso.

    CHAPTER 2-CASTLE DRACULA
    There was nothing to knock at the door so that Jonathan was waiting until Count Dracula opened it.He was a very old man. Jonathan gave him his hand. It was so cold that he felt that he was giving his hand to a dead man.The Count took him to a bedroom lighted by many candles. The count was an old man but he was very strong too. He also had very red lips and the teeth very white. His hands were large with long nails that appeared to be the claws of an animal.There was hair on the palms of his hands. His skin was very pale and he had a bad breath.The next day when he woke up he found his breakfast on the table and also found a note from the Count which said that he could go by all parts of the castle but he could not enter the roonms which are closed. After breakfast Jonathan walked around the castle. Most of the doors were closed, but Jonathan found the library door open. There were many books, newspapers and magazines in English. After Jonathan finished his dinner, the Count sat down with him and asked him a lot about England. The Count has bought a house in England. Jonathan said about Mina. She was the woman with whom he was getting married. The next morning Jonathan was shaving him when he saw the Count behind him. Suddenly the Count came towards his neck. The Count touched Jonathan’s golden cross and got separated from him. Jonathan looked down from the window. He realized that, in this castle with its high walls, he was a prisoner.

    CHAPTER 8
    A RACE AGAINST TIME

    Professor Van Helsing discovers that Dracula uses the boxes as hiding-places, so they have to make the earth holy and he won’t be able to use them. The men started at the house in Carfax, then they set out for the three houses in London. They put some Host in the earth and sealed the boxes again.

    When they finished their work, they were sure that Count Dracula was on his way. He arrived and they started to fight. Jonathan cut the Count’s coat with his knife and a lot of money fell out onto the floor. Finally the Count disappeared.

    They all returned to Dr Seward’s house and told Mina about everything. She had definitely drank the blood of a vampire, so they had to kill Dracula to save her life.

    Mina felt that Dracula was trying to control her, so she asked the Professor to hypnotise her. It is at that moment when she can “see” where the Count is: he is on a ship, with the missing box of earth.

    CHAPTER 9
    THE HUNT FOR DRACULA

    Professor Van Helsing discovered that a ship named the Czarina Catherine sailed the previous day for Varna, a port on the way to Transylvania. The men had to follow him. They had to reach Varna before him, they had no choice. If the Count reaches Castle Dracula, they will lose Mina forever.

    Professor Van Helsing, Dr Seward, Jonathan and Mina crossed from England to Europe and caught the Orient Express in Paris. Three days later, they were in Varna, preparing to confront the vampire.

    A week passed. Then they discovered that Dracula used Mina to trick them. He was closer to Castle Dracula than they were. The box and the Count were gone.

    CHAPTER 10
    THE FINAL ENCOUNTER

    Mina told the men that the Count was still travelling by water. They went into the mountains using different transports: riding a horse, by boat and by train. The weather became colder. Van Helsing was travelling with Mina, she was getting ill. One night the horses began to panic. Mina and the Professor sat inside a circle of Host to protect themselves. The three vampire ladies appeared and called Mina to join them. The next morning he could not wake Mina, so he continued to Castle Dracula on foot and left Mina inside the circle covered with fur robes.

    When the Professor found the tombs of the three ladies in the old chapel of the castle, he realised that he was falling under a spell. So he quickly put the stake through the ladies’ hearts and cut off their heads. At once he began to search for the tomb of the Count, which he finally found. He put some Host so the Count could not use it again.

    Suddenly, they saw a band of men with a cart and another group of men on horses chasing them. Dracula was escaping! The sun was going down as they opened the top of the box. Dracula lay there. Jonathan stabbed his knife into the Count’s throat and another man sank his knife into the Count’s heart. The Count had died at last and Mina was safe.

    CHAPTER 4
    Mina describes in his diary a ride that made next to Lucy to a picturesque village called Whitby, located on the northeast coast of England. The Abbey in ruins of the town is said to be haunted.

    A Russian vessel gets into the harbour at Whitby. There was only one sailor on the ship. On the ship there were 50 large wooden boxes full of earth.

    Mina realizes that she has not heard of Jonathan from a month ago. Her anxiety increases to the disappearance of her boyfriend and, moreover, by the fact that Lucy is now instinctive. Although she looks healthy, Lucy is always preoccupied.

    At last Mina receives a letter with news about Jonathan. It was from a nurse at a hospital in Budapest, Hungary. The note says that he’s suffering from a fever, but he is getting betther. Mina did not want to leave Lucy, but she has to go to Jonathan. When she got to Budapest, she finds Jonathan’s diary and then knows more about what happened in Castle Dracula. Mina and Jonathan get married in the hospital and a few weeks later, they returned to England. Mr. Hawkins was very ill and died soon afterwards and left his house, business and money to Jonathan and Mina.

    CAPÍTOL 4
    Mina es descriu en el seu diari un viatge que va fer al costat de Lucy a un pintoresc poblet anomenat Whitby, situat a la costa nord-est d’Anglaterra. L’Abadia en ruïnes de la ciutat es diu que és embruixada.

    Una embarcació russa arriba al port de Whitby. Només hi ha un mariner abord. A coberta hi ha 50 caixes allargades plenes de sorra.

    Llavors, la Mina s’adona que no ha sentit parlar de´n Jonathan des de fa un mes. Ella augmenta l’ansietat per la desaparició del seu nòvio i, d’altra banda, pel fet que Lucy ara és completmanet instintiva. Encara que ella es veu sana, Lucy sempre està preocupada.

    Finalment, la Mina rep una carta de Budapest, Hongria, d’una infermera de l’hospital d’allà. La nota diu que en Jonathan està malalt però que s’està recuperant. La Mina marxa a buscar-lo i tot just arriba, es troba el diari del seu estimat i és aleshores quan comença a entendre què va passar al Castell. Ells dos es casen al mateix hospital, tornant a casa, poques setmanes després. Quan arriben a Anglaterra, en Mr Hawkins està malalt i mor al poc temps, tot deixant-los en herència la seva casa, propietats i diners.
