Thanksgiving was originally a holiday to give thanks to God for the harvest. Today it is an opportunity to give thanks for all the good things God has given us. It is also a day to celebrate family .The day is celebrated in the United States, and Canada.  It takes place on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States.
