Ja fa molts anys que José Antonio Millán publica una pàgina web sobre llengua i noves tecnologies. És una pàgina excel·lent que recomano, on es toquen temes sobre internet, llengua, el món digital, art… El passat mes de març ha publicat el llibre Manual de urbanidad y buenas maneras en la Red, a l’editorial Melusina.

Tots hem après com fer una carta personal o comercial a l’escola, però qui ens ha ensenyat a escriure correus electrònics? Quines normes s’han de seguir? Són diferents per un cas i per un altre? Quin és el tractament que ha de rebre l’interlocutor? Moltes preguntes que de vegades ens plantegem i que queden resoltes en aquest petit manual. Apunto alguns consells que dóna aquest llibre.

  1. Tracta els altres com t’agradaria que et tractessin a tu.
  2. No escriguis el correus en majúscules. És com si cridessis!
  3. Cal que en els e-mails hi hagi una fórmula de comiat, sigui la que sigui.
  4. Deixa reposar un correu compromès abans d’enviar-lo.
  5. Reserva un temps per rebre i contestar el correu. No tallis la tasca que estiguis fent per comprovar si t’ha arribat correu nou.
  6. No baixis el correu, mentre estàs parlant amb algú per telèfon. Queda fatal sentir el teclat mentre estàs parlant per telèfon amb algú. Vol dir que no li fas prou cas! A més, la multitasca està contraindicada per a la salut

I una regla d’or: no hauríem de deixar cap correu sense respondre. Encara que sigui per dir senzillament que l’hem rebut.
