Avui he fet l’itinerari literari de “La plaça del Diamant” amb els meus alumnes de 2n de Batxillerat. Molts ja s’havien llegit la novel·la, i uns quants encara estan a mitges. Pel que m’han comentat a la majoria no els agrada la novel·la, la troben lenta, massa obsessiva amb el tema dels coloms i amb les neures de la Colometa. Alguns, l’han trobada més interessant. Després d’alguns comentaris que hem fet a classe, s’han fixat en el simbolisme de molts detalls: l’embut, els coloms, les balances, etc, i diuen que li estan trobant el gust. Espero que després d’aquest recorregut tots puguin aprofundir més en la lectura.
Hem començat l’itinerari a Sant Gervasi, al carrer on va néixer Mercè Rodoreda i hem anat baixant fins a Gràcia, passant primer pels Josepets. Hem visitat llocs que formen part del dia a dia, llocs del barri que per mi són quotidians. Però avui els he vist des d’uns altres ulls, i m’he sentit transportada en el temps i en l’espai. Veure la meva ciutat, el meu barri, acompanyada per un grup de nois i noies de divuit anys, passant per l’embut del túnel del temps i imaginant-me’l com devia ser fa setanta anys. També he sentit nostàlgia per espais que he conegut a través de la novel·la i que avui ja no existeixen. Per un temps i un país del qual queda una traça molt fina.
Sempre m’agrada sortir de l’institut. És molt gratificant per tots sortir de les quatre parets de l’aula. Fer les classes a fora: tocant la realitat. Els alumnes aprenent molt més, i aprofundeixen el tema. A més el contacte amb els alumnes és més viu i la relació s’enforteix.
