Take a look at our P4 graders! They all made a great Cookie the Cat mask! Lovely!
Fun way to practice number facts!
Instructions: Two players stand side by side. If playing in teams, teams can line up in two lines with the first player in each line taking the first turn and then moving to the end of the line after this turn. The caller calls a number fact, e.g. 3+9, 15-6. The first player to call out the correct answer then has a turn at shooting for a point (throwing the ball into the waste bin). The player scores a point if he is successful. 😀
Dear kids,
NIM is an ancient mathematical game of strategy.
Instructions: Markers are placed in three piles e.g. 3, 5 and 7. Then players take turns at removing any number of markers from a pile. The player to pick up the last marker, wins. 😎
Dear pupils,
We started our English lessons with this funny activity.
Instructions: Here, matches are placed in rows, e.g.: 1, 3, 5, 7. Players take turns at removing 1,2,3, or 4 matches from a row. The player who removes the last match, loses.
First grader children have been working on the five senses, parting from well-known story “The Very Busy Spider”, by Eric Carle. They made their own class book suitable for visually impaired children. They made the main distinguishing features of each animal using different materials, such as glitter, buttons, pipe cleaners, wool, cotton, thread, etc.
Caga Tió, the pooping log, is a widespread Christmas tradition in Catalonia. It all starts with a hollowed out log, which is propped up on four little leg-like sticks and then painted to have a face. Every night, beginning December 8, Caga Tió is “fed” and covered with a blanket (so that he doesn’t catch a cold).
