MAKING MOON SAND

Hello everyone!!

This week we’ve made moon sand (also known as cloud dough), an amazing sensory dough. It’s super silky, light and it smells sooo good! 4ht graders absolutely loved it!

MOON SAND RECIPE

Do you want to make some moon sand at home? It  takes just two common ingredients and five minutes to make.

Add one cup of baby-oil (or vegetable oil) to 8 cups of flour. Stir well.
Add glitter to get some extra sparkle (optional)

OUR GALAXY, THE MILKY WAY

The Milky Way is a spiral galaxy, and our Solar System   (the Sun and its eight planets) is located in the outer reaches of the Orion arm.

Yep, this week we’ve been talking about the Milky Way galaxy, OUR galaxy, in Science class… and it’s been really fascinating!!

Besides, 4th graders made some beautiful pictures of the Milky Way. The stars in our galaxy are represented by the glitter.
