James Chalmers

James Calmers born in 1782 and died in 1853. He moved to Dundee(England) in 1809 because his brother recomended. He was the inventor of the adhesive postage stamp. He was a newapaper publisher. He was Scottish man. In Dundee, he was a bookseller and printer. From 1834, James Chalmers was promoting the idea of an adhesive stamp. The first astamp was created in 1840. He Was burried in Howff, a cementery in the center of Dundee.
