Black Friday is something which originated in the USA. Falling the day after Thanksgiving, shops would put items on sale and customers flock to start their Christmas shopping. Slowly the practice has spread across the world.

Why is it called Black Friday? What does it mean?
The term “Black Friday” is believed to refer to the single day of the year when retail companies finally go “into the black”.
This is when they make a profit after being “in the red” for much of the year.

Cyber Monday is a marketing term for the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. It was created by retailers to encourage people to shop online.
