Is the Bisbe Berenguer a Green Building?

As part of our Global Scholars project, the students from 2nd of ESO involved did a tour in our school to observe which features of the Bisbe Berenguer make it a sustainable building, and to suggest improvements or additions. We did the tour with one of the teachers of the Technology Department as a guide, and he explained to us the different sustainable traits of the building. During the tour we took notes, photographs and video recorded the things we saw during our visit. We went to different parts of the building to learn how it is powered, how waste is managed, how heating or cooling is conducted, and also learnt a lot of interesting things about the physical structure and facilities of the building.

We found out that our school is much greener than we thought and really sustainable compared to most schools in L’Hospitalet. To finish the tour we took a picture of the whole Global Scholars’ team on top of the roof of the school by the solar panels, a place we had never been to. It was a really interesting experience!
