Last Tuesday, 2nd February, all the Bisbe Berenguer’s Batxillerat students had the chance to enjoy a Scottish dancing workshop and learn a few steps of Céilidh dancing, a popular form of folk dancing in Scotland.

David Vivanco visited our school for the third time and conducted this fab session where all the students learnt about some of the most popular Scottish traditions, songs and dances while listening to the melancholy airs of Scottish bagpipes. Thus, they were able to improve their English in a very funny and exciting way, socialize with their classmates and dance with their English teachers, which was an unexpected plus.
After the workshop, they all agreed they had had a wonderful time and felt like doing it again in the future, be it here in L’Hospitalet or there, in the magnificent scenery of the Scottish Highlands.

Batx – Scottish Dancing

El miércoles 3 de febrero, los alumnos de cuarto que hacen la optativa de Revista participaron en un taller de radio organizado por Dial Jove, la radio interescolar on-line.

Esta actividad consistía en crear un programa de radio con noticias que los alumnos habían preparado previamente. En primer lugar, Manel Ramos, el periodista, les explicó de qué trataba el taller; después formaron dos grupos de nueve con un presentador para cada grupo. Los afortunados fueron el alumno de 4t C Binai Luo y el alumno de 4t B Daniel Gil. En segundo lugar, les explicó el funcionamiento dentro del programa y  les pidió que se pusieran de acuerdo para determinar el orden en que aparecerían sus noticias.

Por último, los alumnos hicieron un gran trabajo haciendo el programa en directo porque, además, incorporaron entrevistas y pequeños debates.
