    Hello Irene.
    I’m Tania Giovando from 3rd A.

The songs that i choose are “Lie to me” from Mikolas Josef (Britanic English) and “Lovely” from Billie Eilish (American English).

I like thees songs, because “Lie to me” it’s very energetic, a part this song went to Eurovision 2018 from Czech Republic. And i like “Lovely” because it’s very calm.

I’m not very sure what they mean but i think that “Lie to me” means that one person was ling to him. And “Lovely” i think that is that when you feel lonly.

Normaly for me it’s easier British Enslish than American English, but in this case how the American English was slower it was easier.

  2. Laura Torroella Casín diu:

    Hi Irene,
    I’m Laura Torroella from 3rd A.

The songs that I choose are ”Bad romance” of Lady Gaga (Britanic English) and ”Set fire to the rain” of Adele.

I have chosen the Bad Romance one sincerely because I haven’t idea of British English songs. So searching I have found this one that I know almost by heart and as a child I always sang it with my mother.
I have chosen Adele’s song because I love it and it gives me a great vibe, it relaxes me and much more.

In Bad Romance they relate the feelings that love provokes taken to its maximum exponent. It is a harmful, sick love, and Lady Gaga knows it. Even being aware of this, what you want is for that “bad romance” to happen.
Set Fire to the Rain: the rain is the tears and the fire is the pain in the heart when someone you fall in love with turns out to be manipulative, a liar and only plays with your feelings for their benefit.

British English is more difficult for me, since I am used to speaking Americanco and it is pronounced differently among others

Hi, Irene. I’m Anna Marbà from 3rd A.
I choose “Back Where I Belong” (Britanic English) and “Addicted To You (American English) of Avicii.

I like “Back Where I Belong” beacuase the lyrics is very beatiful and reminds me good moments and also beacuse it has a good rhythm. This song says he came home after ten years without being happy and he remembers all the beautiful moments as a child.
I like “Addicted To You” because in the video two girls fall in love and the creator (Avicii) he wanted this video to make people aware that nothing happens to love someone of your own gender.

For me, British English is more difficult than American English, but I prefer Bristish, I like how it sounds more.

  4. Hugo Urbano diu:

Hi, I’m Hugo Urban from 3rdA.
The songs I have choose are “Cake By The Ocean” from DNCE and “Break My Heart” from Dua Lipa.

I like both songs because of the rhythm they have, although “Cake By Ocean” is more frenzied than “Break My Heart” but I really like them both.
The song “Break My Heart” talks about a girl who all her boyfriends end up lying to them but she doesn’t dare to say anything to them and she always runs away from home without saying anything to them, or that’s what I understand.

The other song “Cake By The Ocean” in my opinion does not want to convey anything, the song is only about a holiday at the beach.

In my opinion, it took me a lot more to deduce what they said in the song of “Cake By The Ocean” the English they speak is very difficult for me to understand, but after a few minutes I have begin to understand it.

  5. Elisabeth Torrentó diu:

    Hi.
    I’m Elisabeth Torrentó from 3rA.
    I have chosen songs from:
American English: Call me maybe (Carly Rae Japsen)
Britanic English: Thinking out loud (ed sheeran).

I like them because they have a good rhythm. And one of them reminds me of my childhood (call me maybe).

ed sheeran’s is about love, a boy, in this case the singer, dedicates a song to his beloved, where he tells her that he will continue to love him until he is old, because his love never dieds, etc.
Carlys Rae Jepsen’s is about a girl who falls in love whit her neighbor and, together with her friends, tires to get her attention. Finally he does, but it is seen that the neighbor is gay and he likes one of the girl’s friends.

It is more difficult for me to undersatnd British English, as it has diffeternt expressions than what we are used to.

  6. Zoe Gatell diu:

    Hi Irene,
    I’m Zoe Gatell from 3rdA.

The songs that I choose are “Do I Wanna Know” of Arctic Monkeys and “Sucker For Pain” of Imagine Dragons.

I love the song “Do I Wanna Know” cause the beginning I feel it so powerful and i like so much the rhythm.
“Sucker For Pain” is one of my favorite songs cause apart from the part of Imagine Dragons that is great, has many rap parts sung by the best American rappers (Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Logic and Ty Dolla).

“Do I Wanna Know” tells us about those feelings that stay in our heads and tell us that we need something, and in this case the singer says that the only thing he knows for sure is that he wants to return to his lover, even if it is crawling.

“Sucker For Pain” basically tells us that he’s a sucker for pain, like he can’t resist to this feeling.

Is more difficult to me to understand the British English but I prefer it.

  7. Marta Guillén diu:

    Hello Irene.
    I am Marta Guillén from 3rd A.

The songs that I choose are “Anyone” from Demi Lovato (American English) and “Hello” from Adele (Britanic English).

I have choosen “Anyone” because I think Demi Lovato sings so good and she has a powerful voice and I like it so much. And “Hello” because I like how sings Adele too.

I think that “Hello” is about when a girl finish a relationship and she does a lot of bad things and now the girl wants to apologize to her past boyfriend. And “Anyone” talks about a person is alone and nobody lisents to him.

I think I understand better the American English and normaly the songs that I listen are in American English.

  8. Kinzy mansour diu:

    Hello Irene,
Which are the two songs that you have chosen? They are Be happy and Physical .
Who is the singer/group? Dixie d’amelio and Dua Lipa.
Why do you like them? I like be happy because it fits with my mood sometimes and also that I am a big fan of Dixie d’amelio, I like Physical because it is very energetic and cheerful.
What do they explain? Be happy it’s about that she want to be unhappy sometimes for some reason, Physical is about love .
Which is easier/more difficult for you to understand? American or British English? I guess American English is easier because I always hear it and it’s not complicated at all and the British also I had to hear it alot due to my past school.
