It’s Christmas time, and a good occasion to know about the story of the Gingerbread Man.

An old lady and an old man bake a gingerbread man, and he escapes because he doesn’t want they to eat him.

He escapes from a cow and he escapes from a horse,  till he meets a fox, that eventually eats him.

Listen to the story and a song about it.

Chinese New Year

Chinese people celebrate New Year in a different date every year.

This happens because it depends on the moon: New Year is the day of the first new moon of winter.

They use lots of fireworks and dragon dances.

Chinese zodiac has twelve animals, and every year is the year of one of the animals.

Have a look to the following links and try to guess:

To which animal is dedicated this year ?

Is it year 2012 for Chinese culture? Which year is it?

Try to guess your Chinese sign and some of its characteristics.

Send some comments about any of this questions.

What are you thankful for?

Thanksgiving day remembers the first party celebrated by the first English people in

America and the Indians together, to give thanks for their survival in the new world. This party was in 1621 near Plymouth.

Today, people celebrates Thanksgiving also to give thanks for all the good things they have in their lives.
